For the fourth year V-Day South Bay has been granted the rights for a benefit production of Eve Ensler's award-winning play, The Vagina Monologues. We are proud to be one of the thousands of participating groups in the V-Day 2008 Worldwide Campaign to raise money and awareness for local organizations that work to stop violence against women and girls. Performances will take place on February 1 & 2, 2008.
We invite you to become a sponsor of this Special Event. Part of what makes it so special is the opportunity it offers to local businesses to participate in this global movement. Celebrate and honor the women and girls in your life and community, be part of a collective voice, a voice that refuses to be ignored, a voice that says NO to violence against women and girls.
In the first three years, we raised nearly $100,000. Since we hope to raise $50,000 this year, we need your financial support to cover our small operating expenses and add to our donation fund.
This year's focus will be on making the event a community effort, celebrating Hermosa Beach's commitment to those in need. In fact, "Join the Celebration!" is this year's tag line. And this will be our last production of The Vagina Monologues. So we will be going all-out to make this a spectacular event. It is definitely something your business will want to be associated with.
We look forward to collaborating with you on this extraordinary celebration of women and girls and making this an Event That Makes a Difference.
Sincerely,
Dave Buckland
